WinMetro: Metro for Windows 7

WinMetro is a freeware tool designed to bring the innovative Windows 8 ( or not ? ) metro UI to older Operating Systems like Windows 7, Vista and XP. Once installed, you will be able to display real-time information such as weather, emails, stock exchange, news, and more, just like on a real Windows 8 machine.

The app is very easy to use and give you the option to boot to the metro UI automatically after you install the application. Above all, WinMetro gives you an experience very close to Windows 8. Since it is just an overlay program and not an OS, it is even better, as you can just enjoy the innovative and functional home screen while your OS, with which you are used to, still remains the same.
At the time of writing, the app is still in beta version. So, you might experience a few hiccups from time to time.
